The programme formed part of a broader nationwide initiative to commemorate the historic and cultural significance of “Vande Mataram,” which has played a vital role in India’s freedom movement and continues to inspire patriotic sentiment across generations. The special phase aims to deepen public awareness about the song’s legacy through a series of cultural and educational activities.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Nallu highlighted the enduring relevance of “Vande Mataram” as a symbol of unity, sacrifice, and national pride. He emphasized that the song not only reflects the spirit of India’s struggle for independence but also serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to uphold the nation’s values and integrity.

The event featured a range of cultural performances, including group renditions of the national song, dance presentations, and recitations that showcased the rich artistic heritage associated with the freedom movement. Students and artists from various institutions participated enthusiastically, adding vibrancy to the समारोह.

Officials present at the programme noted that the initiative seeks to engage younger generations by connecting them with the historical context and emotional resonance of the song. Educational institutions across the state are expected to organise similar programmes in the coming weeks as part of the commemorative campaign.

The celebration also underscored the importance of preserving cultural traditions while fostering a sense of national identity. By hosting the state-level programme, Tripura joined other states in marking this milestone anniversary, reaffirming its commitment to honouring the legacy of one of India’s most iconic patriotic compositions.

The event concluded with a collective rendition of “Vande Mataram,” symbolising unity and shared national pride among attendees.
