AMC budget of Rs 397 crore in the financial year 2023-24

Agartala, August 4: The Agartala Municipal Corporation has presented a budget of Rs 397 crore for the financial year 2023-24. The budget deficit is Rs 55 lakh 22 thousand. The income is estimated at Rs 396 crore 44 lakh 78 thousand.

Mayor Deepak Majumder presented the full budget of the current financial year at the conference hall of Agartala Pur Nigam today. On this day, the mayor said that a budget of Rs 397 crore has been presented keeping in mind the overall benefits of the city dwellers. There is a deficit of Rs 55 lakh 22 thousand. To meet this deficit, efforts will be made to increase taxes in various ways, he said.

Incidentally, the Agartala Municipal Corporation had submitted a vote on account of Rs 142 crore 10 lakhs for four months. It was estimated that the income of Pur Nigam would be Rs 141 crore 88 lakhs. The deficit was Rs 21 lakh 52 thousand.
