Ambassa police arrested two people with dried cannabis

Agartala: July 18: Dried cannabis worth around ten lakh rupees was seized during a vehicle search at Naka Point of Bet Bagan area under Ambassa police station. It is known that the police seized and searched a vehicle bearing the number TR-01-BF-0275 from Agartala during the search on that day. A total of 103 kg of dry ganja in 89 packets was recovered from the secret chamber of the car.

According to the police, the market value of these seized items is more than 10 lakh rupees. And two youths named Sabthik Debbarma and Voyar Debbarma of Sidhai were arrested. In the preliminary interrogation of the police, the arrested said that they were taking this cannabis to Kumarghat. The police registered a case against the two arrested persons under the NDPS section and tomorrow they will be produced before the Dhalai District and Sessions Court seeking police remand.
