Agartala, May 2 — Riding high on its recent victory in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, the Tipra Motha party on Friday held its first Youth Tipra Federation (YTF) workers’ meeting at the New Town Hall in Raima Valley, marking a significant step toward strengthening its grassroots organization.
The meeting, organised by the Raima Valley unit of YTF, witnessed enthusiastic participation from party workers and local leaders. The gathering reflected a renewed sense of confidence among cadres following the party’s electoral success in the TTAADC polls.
Several senior leaders were present at the event, including MDC Khotrojoy Reang from Ganganagar–Ganda Twisa constituency, MDC Dhananjoy Tripura of Raima Valley, former Executive Member Rajesh Tripura, and Block YTF president Ratan Bikash Chakma. Other prominent attendees included vice-presidents Sarajoy Tripura and Basudeb Chakma, Block Secretary Dhahindra Tripura, former Sub-Zonal Chairman Dhana Ranjan Tripura, Tipra Women Federation (TWF) president Nirmala Tripura, and Tipra Cultural Federation (TCF) president Joy Kumar Das.
The meeting focused on two key priorities: organizing a more impactful celebration of the upcoming YTF Foundation Day and chalking out a comprehensive strategy for the forthcoming Village Council (VC) elections. Leaders also held discussions with the VC Monitoring Chairman and other party functionaries to align organisational goals with future electoral plans.
Addressing the gathering, speakers stressed the importance of unity, discipline and collective responsibility among workers. They urged party cadres to remain committed to protecting the interests of indigenous communities and to work cohesively for strengthening grassroots governance structures.
Leaders also called upon workers to build on the momentum generated by the party’s recent success and expand its outreach at the village level. Emphasis was laid on mobilising youth and ensuring their active participation in upcoming political and developmental initiatives.
The meeting concluded on an optimistic note, with workers expressing determination to carry forward the vision of Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Deb Barma. The event underscored the party’s focus on consolidation and preparedness as it looks ahead to future electoral challenges and governance responsibilities.
