Agartala: Feb 14: In Tripura, the Left Front is fighting to defeat the BJP in an alliance with the Congress. But there was no discussion about who will be the cabinet members from the two parties after winning, neither the Left Front nor the Congress. The main goal of both Left Front and Congress is to establish people’s government.
CPIM State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury said these words while answering questions from journalists at the Agartala Press Club on Tuesday. In further question and answer, he said that according to the assurance of zero pool violence by the National Election Commission, people have been reassured because in the last five years, those who have lost their right to vote, there is a ray of hope in the assurance of the National Election Commission. Especially in the wake of the incident of political terror organized in Jirania on February 18, the action taken by the National Election Commission has raised more confidence among the people. However, the sporadic incidents that have taken place in the last few days have left the Election Commission’s promise of zero pool violence somewhat inconsistent because in recent incidents, it has been understood that there is still a mindset in the Election Commission that they should please their boss.
Let the election commission exercise full force and arrange peaceful elections. He also said that the people of the state have decided under any circumstances to exercise the right to vote. Jitendra Chowdhury said about the establishment of the government that the IPFT in alliance with the BJP will be wiped out in the upcoming assembly elections. So BJP will be alone in the fight. So for the last one week the people of the state are realizing that a coalition government will be formed in Tripura. Jitendra Chowdhury wanted to refer to Left Front and Congress without mentioning names. However, he admitted that there were some mistakes in the management of the Left Front government in 25 years. He said while in government, these do not go unnoticed. Those issues come into focus when you leave the government.
The Left Front will focus on correcting these mistakes in the coming days. Jitendra Chowdhury said in response to the questions of journalists that the mistake will be corrected otherwise it will be wrong again. Regarding defeating the BJP on this day, Jitendra Chowdhury said that the BJP will no longer exist after the next two Marches. Rule of law will be restored in Tripura. He said that the people’s government will be established while answering the questions of the journalists. In response to another question from reporters, he said that there is not a single seat in favor of the BJP out of the 60 seats in the Legislative Assembly, which he is hopeful that the BJP will be able to win. Therefore, the Union Home Minister has been sitting in Tripura for the past few days leaving the elections in other states and called a few people for a meeting. But still there will be no benefit. Jitendra Chowdhury expressed hope that he will send a message to the entire country by defeating the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.
