Agartala: Mar 31: In a recent development, Kriti Singh Debbarma, the BJP nominee for the East Tripura constituency, finds herself embroiled in a murder case. The accusation against her was raised by India Block leader Sudip Roy Barman during a public meeting in Kamalpur. Barman, in support of Rajendra Reang, the India Alliance nominee, made startling claims about the circumstances surrounding Kriti Singh Debbarma’s candidacy.
Kriti Singh Debvarma stands accused in a murder case, casting a shadow over her political aspirations. Barman alleges that Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman, the Tripura Matha Supremo, facilitated Kriti’s entry into the BJP. Deb Barman’s controversial sale of Tiprasad reportedly played a role in this decision.
Kriti Singh Debbarma’s sister’s son-in-law is also part of the BJP candidate lineup. Their inclusion is seen as an attempt to shield them from legal repercussions. Barman questions whether voters will support candidates with such allegations against them.
Barman asserts that the people will not accept these “thugs and fraudsters” and calls for accountability in the upcoming elections. As the election approaches, the controversy surrounding Kriti Singh Debvarma’s candidacy remains a focal point, leaving voters to weigh the allegations against her and make an informed choice at the polls.
