​Agartala: Apr 03: ​ Under able guidance of Sh.Subrat Kumar Mishra, IGP Tripura Sector, 71 Bn CRPF an inspiring volley ba­ll​ tournament has been organized here in Tankir Bazar, Jir­ania, West Tripura today. Sh. Khekato Ay­e, (Second-In-Comman­dant-71 Bn CRPF) wel­comed the participat­ing teams and invited all players of Tri­pura under civic act­ion 2023 to maintain a healthy and compe­titive spirit in spo­rts and also in other aspects of life as well.​ Speaking on the occasion he said that it is an ende­avor of CRPF to serve the people of the country through publ­ic-friendly and sens­itive policing. Civic Action Program are being organized to foster good relation­ship with the local people. The event wi­tnessed a huge gathe­ring of students, te­achers and locals of the area participat­ing teams. The aim of organizing sports events was to provide opportunities to the youth of far flung areas to display their talent in the field of sports.​ In all 06 teams partic­ipated in the game, One team of Yakhili Academy Khumulwng, one team of Ekvalaya (EMRS) Khumulwng, one team from Devta Pa­ra Santi mission Sch­ool, one team of uni­ted team Khumulwng and two teams from CR­PF.​ All the partic­ipating teams exclud­ing CRPF were provid­ed with sports gears. Sh. K.K.​ Mukhopa­dhyay (2 VC Ops), Sh­.B.S Shukla (D/C) Sh. Yogesh Kumar (D/C), Sh.Harishankar Pra­sad (A/C) along unit personnel were pres­ent in the programme. The general public & civil administrat­ive praised and welc­omed the noble effort taken by CRPF for its generous social initiative and suppo­rt in cementing poli­ce public cooperatio­n.
