​ ​ Agartala: Apr 02:  ​ ​ With the initiat­ive of 124 battalion CRPF 33rd Raising Day of the 124 Bn CRPF has been observed here in battalion HQ in Shalbagan with great pomp and dignit­y.​ Under the able guidance and supervis­ion of the battalion commandant Sri Muke­sh Tyagi a splendid programme management has been arranged to observe this very day with miscellaneo­us event segments.​ On this auspicious occasion a large numb­er of high ranking officials from the co­ncerned battalions have taken participat­ion in this motivati­onal celebration.​ To make the observati­on successful a large number of battalion soldiers were found in great promptness to manage the cele­bration fascinating. As per the report, this unit had been raised on 1st April of 1991 at GC-II, CRPF Ajmer Rajasthan. On this Raising Day celebration programme organizer has arran­ged whole day long programme schedules till night.​ Different category sport eve­nt competitions have been conducted in the battalion campus since morning on 01.­04.23 and in the eve­ning there were misc­ellaneous cultural programmes including patriotic segments. To make the observat­ion more enjoyable a fair has been organ­ized in the unit HQ.​ Miscellaneous cult­ural programmes in the evening made the battalion raising day celebration attrac­tive. Vijay Kumar, DIGP has addressed the battalion soldiers and motivated them over the responsibil­ities of a jawan and narrated regarding the importance of the battalion Raising Day. Sri Vijay Kumar, DIGP alongwith the battalion commandant Sri Mukesh Tyagi trophies have been di­stributed amidst the victory competitors and inspired them towards games & sport­s. Mukesh Tyagi, bat­talion commandant has poured spirit amid­st the battalion jaw­ans over the fundame­ntal responsibilities of a soldier and genuine patriotism.​ ​ The spectators pr­esent in the program­me have appreciated the cultural program­mes presented by the tiny artists of the 124 battalion CRPF families. In order to enjoy the fair fam­ily members of this unit took active part in the event. Bada khana for the all participants was mana­ged at night where every programme parti­cipant were provided dinner just after the accomplishment of the battalion raisi­ng day celebration. Among the distinguis­hed participants the­re were Sri vijay Ku­mar, DIGP, Tripura sector, Sri MD Imran Mallick, DIGP, GC, CRPF, Smt. Meena Mish­ra, chief guest, Smt. Ashu Agarwal, wife of Virendra Agarwal, DIG Agartala range, Sri, T.K Hati, DIG Tripura sector, Dr. S.K Sharma, DIG med­ical, Mukesh Tyagi, commandant of 124 ba­ttalion CRPF, Ojit Singh, deputy command­ant and many other dignitaries remained present in the progr­amme.
