BSF Jawan Dies in Unfortunate Incident During Travel in Moving Vehicle
Agartala: April 25: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan tragically lost his life after being shot by his own service rifle while traveling in a moving vehicle in Kanchanpur, Tripura. The incident occurred last night around 11 pm, causing a ripple of shock throughout the area. The jawan was returning from an election road march when the incident took place. However, the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and authorities have initiated an investigation.
According to reports, the BSF jawans were en route to their camp after completing an election road march. Rakesh Nargis Keshav (28), a resident of Maharashtra, met his untimely demise when his service rifle discharged inside a moving bus on the ISBT road in Kanchanpur. He served in the C-Company of the 199 Battalion of BSF. The police promptly retrieved the body and transported it to Kanchanpur Hospital for post-mortem examination. The investigation aims to shed light on whether the incident was a suicide or involved other factors.
