Agartala: June 01: The GRPF (Government Railway Police Force) has apprehended a young woman in connection with a pistol-related incident. Today, she was brought before the court, where authorities sought a three-day police remand for further investigation.

According to a police officer, the operation unfolded based on confidential information received on May 24. The police detained and questioned a suspicious boy and girl at Agartala railway station. During the search, they discovered a 9mm pistol and two pistol magazines in their possession. The arrested individuals have been identified as Karan Derbarma and Priya Derbarma, both residents of North Maharani. They were promptly placed under police remand for further questioning.

As the investigation progressed, another young woman’s name surfaced in connection with the pistol incident. Yesterday, Remremi Debbarma (20) was arrested from her residence in Kalyanpur. She was subsequently taken to the police station and presented in court, where authorities sought an extension of her custody for three days.

The case remains under scrutiny, and authorities are diligently pursuing leads to uncover the full extent of the situation.
