A cyclone has been identified over eastern Assam and neighboring areas at an altitude of 1.5 kilometers above sea level. This has resulted in light rainfall in isolated areas of West Tripura, Sepahijala, North, and Unakoti districts. Over the past 24 hours, dry weather has prevailed in other parts of Tripura. At midnight, wind speeds over Agartala Airport from the north-northeast direction reached 59 km per hour, causing damage in several areas. The weather department is currently assessing the extent of the damage.

The yellow alert specifically applies to North Tripura, Unakoti, Dhalai, Khowai, and West districts for the next five days.
