Agartala: Feb 11: A relief distribution program for the flood-affected people of West Tripura district was organized at the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala. The event was graced by the Chief Minister of the state, Dr. Manik Saha, who handed over the relief materials to the affected individuals. The event was aimed at providing much-needed support to those severely impacted by the recent floods.
The program was attended by various dignitaries, including the District Magistrate of West Tripura, Dr. Vishal Kumar, and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of the region, Manik Lal Das, along with other local officials. They were present to oversee the distribution and ensure that the relief efforts reached the most affected areas.
The relief materials included essential supplies such as food, clothing, and other necessary items to help the flood victims recover from the devastating impact of the natural calamity. The flood had caused significant damage to homes, infrastructure, and agricultural lands, leaving many people in dire need of assistance.
The Chief Minister, in his address, expressed his solidarity with the victims and reassured them of the government’s continued support in their recovery process. He also emphasized the importance of collective efforts from both the government and local organizations in alleviating the suffering of the affected communities.
