The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of West Agartala Police Station, Paritosh Das, reported that they received a tip-off last evening about a young man named Biplab Banik planning to sell drugs in the Radhanagar area. Acting on this information, the police conducted a raid and arrested Biplab Banik upon his arrival. The police recovered 135 drug pouches from him, valued at approximately 50,000 rupees.

During interrogation, it was revealed that five more individuals were involved in the drug business. The police conducted raids at their residences but were unable to apprehend them.

In a separate incident, the OC informed that on August 5, a group of miscreants stole fans, computers, and furniture from Barzala School. Following an investigation, the police arrested five individuals: Samir Bin, Bilas Gupta, Jadumani Gupta, Shanu Deb, and Rajesh Debnath. Three ceiling fans and a dagger were recovered from them.
