According to reports, on May 10, Bapi Roy engaged in an argument with five individuals in the Ganaraj Chowmuhani area while driving home. The altercation escalated, resulting in physical violence against Bapi Roy, leaving him with a head injury. The same day, he lodged a verbal complaint at the East Agartala Police Station.

During the investigation, authorities collected CCTV footage from the vicinity of the incident. Notably, an unidentified scooty appeared in the footage. Using this clue, the scooty’s owner was apprehended and interrogated on Saturday night. Subsequently, the remaining suspects were arrested based on the owner’s confession.

The arrested individuals include Titan Dev, Atrjit Das, Dipankar Guha, Sagar Dev, and Jibon Sarkar. Among them, Atrjit Das allegedly struck Bapi Roy’s head with the scooty’s key. Multiple charges have been filed against all the arrested suspects. They reside in the GB 79 Tila area. The police presented them in court on Sunday.
