Agartala: April 27: In a thoughtful initiative, the Chief Minister led the distribution of water and fruits to the public along the route to IGM Chaumuhani. As temperatures soar, the Meteorological Department has already issued a severe heat warning for the state. Residents are urged to take precautions during this period, as maximum temperatures are expected to surpass normal levels in various regions.
To mitigate the impact of the scorching weather, water and fruits were provided to passersby on the road at IGM Chaumuhani today. State BJP President Rajeev Bhattacharya actively participated in this community effort. Additionally, Mayor Deepak Majumder contributed by distributing refreshing cold drink sherbet to pedestrians on behalf of ward no. residents.
In a parallel move, the state government has announced a four-day holiday for students, ensuring their safety during the intense heatwave. These combined efforts demonstrate the commitment of local authorities to safeguard the well-being of citizens amidst challenging weather conditions.
