Agartala, May 20: In an effort to make governance more accessible and strengthen direct communication between citizens and the administration, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s public outreach initiative Mukhyamantri Samipeshu has introduced virtual participation, allowing people from different parts of Tripura to connect directly with the Chief Minister without the need to travel to Agartala.

The latest addition is expected to significantly improve accessibility for residents of remote and far-flung districts by enabling them to present their grievances and concerns from their own locations. Officials believe the move will further strengthen participatory governance and ensure faster grievance redressal across the state.

During Wednesday’s programme, Chief Minister Dr. Saha virtually interacted with participants from Dhalai district and listened to various issues raised by them. Following the interactions, he instructed the concerned departments and officials to take immediate and necessary steps for resolution of the problems.

Among the cases highlighted during the session was that of an elderly tribal woman who reportedly has been suffering from a skin-related illness for nearly ten years. During her virtual interaction with the Chief Minister, she sought medical help and requested support for treatment.

Responding promptly, Dr. Saha directed the District Magistrate of Dhalai and officials from the Health Department to make arrangements for her transfer to Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital for advanced medical care and treatment.

Apart from health-related concerns, several participants also raised issues related to agriculture, including crop damage affecting farmers. Others highlighted healthcare problems and sought financial assistance for various needs.

After hearing the grievances and difficulties faced by the participants, the Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure timely action and provide appropriate assistance wherever required.

Mukhyamantri Samipeshu has emerged as one of the state government’s key public outreach initiatives, designed to create a direct platform where citizens can communicate their concerns and seek intervention from the administration.

With the introduction of virtual participation, the initiative is expected to become more inclusive and efficient by removing geographical barriers and making governance more accessible to people across all districts of Tripura.
