Bengalore: Sept 08: BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra launched a strong attack on the Karnataka Congress government, accusing it of insulting Hindus and hurting their sentiments since coming to power. He claimed that cases are being filed against Hindus while the government shields anti-social elements.

Speaking at a press conference in Delhi, Vijayendra condemned the lathi charge on women in Maddur, calling it a “shameful act” by the state government. He questioned how the Home Minister could dismiss the incident as minor and asked what their reaction would be if such force was used on their family members.

Highlighting that Ganesh Utsav is celebrated peacefully across India, Vijayendra wondered why disturbances occur only in Karnataka under the Congress regime. He contrasted this with the smooth conduct of Eid Milad, questioning the government’s “double standards.”

Accusing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of bias, he said the CM “dislikes saffron” and would reject a saffron turban but readily wore a cap during Eid Milad. He alleged the Congress was pursuing “anti-Hindu and pro-minority” policies, warning that the “sinful pot” of the government is full and public anger will soon boil over.

Vijayendra also referred to the murders of Hindu activists Gavisiddappa in Koppal and Suhas Shetty, blaming the government for failing to protect Hindus. He charged that the administration remained silent during misinformation campaigns against Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and was emboldening traitors by withdrawing cases against anti-social elements.

“The Siddaramaiah government is repeatedly insulting Hindus, creating a situation where they cannot walk with dignity,” Vijayendra said, cautioning that such governance would make it difficult for Congress workers to even walk on the streets.
