Union Minister Pavitra Margherita Visits Tripura to Review Development Projects

Agartala, October 16, 2024 – Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pavitra Margherita, arrived in Agartala this afternoon for a three-day visit. Upon her arrival, she met with Governor Indrasena Reddy Nalluri at Raj Bhavan and earlier had a courtesy meeting with Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha at Agartala MBB Airport. The Chief Minister departed for New Delhi later in the afternoon.

During her meetings with the Governor and Chief Minister, Minister Margherita discussed various central government development projects. She emphasized that the central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is committed to accelerating the state’s development through regular reviews and visits by central ministers.

This evening, Minister Margherita traveled to Khowai, where she will hold a review meeting tomorrow with senior district administration officials. The agenda includes inspections of ongoing projects in education, health, the Jal Jeevan Mission, agricultural infrastructure, and skill development. She will also engage with women-led self-help groups and district officials.

Additionally, Minister Margherita will visit a cluster project of handicraft industries at Simanar Shankhala, a handicraft awareness program at Fatikchhara, and the ‘Samarth’ training center under the child development project. Her itinerary also includes a visit to Matabari in Udaipur.
