Union Home Minister Amit Shah Emphasizes Economic Development of Northeast

Agartala: Dec 21: Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that developing a prosperous India is impossible without the economic development of the Northeast. Speaking at the North East Bankers’ Conclave held at Hotel Polo Tower today, he emphasized the importance of financial prosperity for the nation’s overall happiness and development.

Shah highlighted that the economic development of all the states in the Northeast is crucial for the country’s progress. He noted that it is impossible to create a developed nation if 1.4 billion citizens are not financially prosperous.

He further stated that the Northeast must develop economically to build a developed India. Shah pointed out the significant difference between the Northeast of 10 years ago and today under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He mentioned that peace has been established in the region over the past decade, with more than 9,000 militants surrendering and returning to normal life.

Shah also emphasized that the states of the Northeast have the potential to be the gateway to building a developed India. He expressed hope that the region will set records in terms of development, highlighting the importance of the Northeast’s economic prosperity for the nation’s overall growth.
