Agartala: April 17: Two Bangladeshi nationals were detained at Agartala Railway Station on April 17, 2025, for entering India illegally. The operation was conducted jointly by the Agartala GRP (Government Railway Police), Agartala RPF (Railway Protection Force), BSF (Border Security Force), and the Intelligence Department.

The detainees, identified as Nadiya Akhtar Mim (19) from Barisal and Rupali Akhtar (38) from Manikganj, reportedly planned to travel to Mumbai via Kolkata. Female officers at the GRP station are interrogating them in phases, and authorities suspect that further arrests may follow as investigations continue.
