India and foreign countries visited Kadamtala in North Tripura district on Saturday for a field visit and to see the plantations and scope of Agar industry in Tripura. The delegation was a part of third international buyer sellers Agarwood products meet. During the field visit tour, the delegates were briefed about, the scope of development of Agar in the state of Tripura and various processing technologies being used by the processing units. The delegation has motivated the TRPC chairman over the better future of the project. The team from countries like United Kingdom, UAE, Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, etc visited these Agar processing units of and understood the scope and viability of this billion dollar industry. The team was led by Ms. Patal Kanya Jamatia, Chairperson TRPCL. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries Shri Parveen Agarwal, additional PCCF, other officials, and industry experts were present in the visit.

Speaking at this field visit Ms. Patal Kanya Jamatia mentioned about the huge scope of Agar industry and the industry centric support by the govt of Tripura towards investment and paving a way towards inclusive development. It is expected that the through this Agar project rural gardeners will gain a better consequence in coming days.
