Agartala, May 12: The offer distribution ceremony for 979 constable posts in Tripura Police is set to take place at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan, Agartala on Tuesday. The event will be attended by **Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan, and other ministers and officials.
The final merit list for the recruitment was released on April 3, marking the culmination of a long selection process. Successful candidates will receive their offer letters during the ceremony.
The recruitment process was based on merit, including physical tests, written examinations, and personal interaction tests. According to the final merit list, 979 candidates were recommended—647 men against 668 vacancies and 332 women against 332 vacancies.
The distribution of selected candidates is as follows:
– Men: UR-376, SC-56, ST-210, Ex-Servicemen-26
– Women: UR-193, SC-30, ST-109
Earlier, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha congratulated the selected candidates in a social media post, stating, “Congratulations to all the selected candidates of constables (Men & Women) of Tripura Police! Your hard work and dedication have truly paid off. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors.”
The ceremony marks a significant milestone for the newly recruited constables as they prepare to join the force and contribute to law enforcement in the state.
