Tripura Gramin Bank has been honoured with the prestigious SKOCH Award 2025 under the category of Innovative Practices, in recognition of its significant contribution to institutional innovation, inclusive banking, and customer-focused service delivery. The award highlights the bank’s sustained efforts to strengthen financial inclusion and modernize banking services, particularly in rural and underserved regions of Tripura.

The award was presented at the 105th SKOCH Summit, themed “Governing Viksit Bharat,” held at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on Friday. Widely regarded as one of India’s most respected independent honours in governance and development, the SKOCH Award is conferred after a rigorous, multi-stage, outcome-based evaluation process.

According to an official statement, Tripura Gramin Bank successfully qualified through all levels of assessment, reflecting its consistent emphasis on innovation, adoption of technology-driven solutions, and expansion of formal banking access. The bank has played a key role in bringing unbanked and underbanked populations into the financial mainstream through digital initiatives, customer-centric products, and improved service delivery mechanisms.

Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank, Satyendra Singh, along with Jeet Bhattacharya, Manager (Marketing) at the bank’s head office, received the award on behalf of the institution during the summit. The bank said the recognition validates its approach of combining technology with grassroots outreach to support socio-economic development across the state.

Expressing gratitude on receiving the honour, Chairman Satyendra Singh said the award belongs to the entire Tripura Gramin Bank family. He credited the officers and staff for their dedication, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to serving customers. “This achievement reflects the collective efforts of our employees, who have worked tirelessly to implement innovative practices and improve banking access for the people of Tripura,” he said.

Reiterating the bank’s future vision, Singh affirmed that Tripura Gramin Bank will continue to focus on transparent, technology-enabled, and people-centric banking solutions. The SKOCH Award 2025, the statement added, marks a major milestone in the bank’s journey and reaffirms its position as a leading regional rural bank committed to innovation, inclusive growth, and the national vision of a developed India.
