Tripura government has allocated 39.81 percent of money for the development of the people in the budget for the financial year 2023-24. For the first time in the history of Tripura, a political party has allocated more money in the budget keeping in mind the overall development of the people. Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this in a press conference at the state BJP office today. His sarcasm is that some political parties are trying to mislead people to cover up their failure by highlighting the fact that only 2 percent of money has been allocated for the people in the budget.

On this day Shri Nath said, from the main budget of the financial year 2023-24, apart from the money for salary and wages of employees, payment of loans and interest, pension and other retirement benefits, the remaining 14 thousand 86 crores 42 lakhs have been allocated for the overall development of Tripura. According to the rules of the constitution, the government of Tripura has allocated more than 31 percent of the money allocated in the budget for the benefit of the people. He claimed that it was the first government in the history of Tripura to set an all-time record.

He also added that after the establishment of the BJP government in Tripura, 38.40 per cent had been earmarked for the people in the 18-19 financial year budget. Similarly, the government has spent 39.52 percent of the budget for the people in the fiscal year 19-20. Every year the Tripura government keeps more than 31 percent of the budget for the people.

According to him, the budget presented by the government of Tripura for the overall development of the people is being presented by some political parties with wrong information to the people. Without constructive discussion in the state’s interest in the assembly, the opposition parties are hampering the development of Tripura.

He claimed that political parties are misleading the simple people of the state to cover their own failure. It has become a very reprehensible matter. In the past, no political party has taken initiatives for the development of the people like the present government.
