Today is 22nd Shraban, the 84th death anniversary of the world poet Rabindranath Tagore. A multifaceted genius, he illuminated Bengali literature and culture with his brilliance and introduced it to the global stage, earning the title of “Viswakabi” (World Poet). He is regarded as the greatest poet of the Bengali people. On his death anniversary today, floral tributes were offered at the statue of Tagore in front of Umakanta Academy by members of Enamni. Students of the school also participated in this tribute ceremony alongside the members.
