Three thieves arrested with stolen bikes

Agartala: Dec 29: Based on a tip-off, the police of East Agartala police station managed to nab three notorious thieves along with the stolen bike. East Police Station OC Rana Chatterjee said that if they are interrogated, various information about the gang of thieves will be known.

East police station OC Rana Chatterjee said that on December 24, a case of theft of a person’s bike from Chittaranjan Road was filed with the police station. Moreover, there were complaints of bike theft from different places for some days. Based on that complaint, the police started investigation. Based on the secret information, the police conducted raids in different places. Finally, the police of East Agartala police station managed to nab the main accused of the thief gang.

On this day, he also said that Sanjit Sarkar, a resident of Melaghar, was arrested from Tulakona in the operation. When he was brought to the police station and interrogated, the names of two more members of the thief gang came up. Immediately the police arrested them and took them to the police station. Three bikes were seized from them.
