Dharmanagar police have arrested the three main accused in connection with the sensational Prasenjit incident that recently rocked the town. The accused have been identified as Sushmita Bhattacharjee, Sangeeta Bhattacharjee, and Sourav Bhattacharjee. All three were apprehended from neighbouring Karimganj in Assam following an intensive search operation by the police.
According to official sources, the arrests were made after investigators tracked the movement of the accused, who had reportedly gone into hiding after the incident. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a police team conducted a coordinated operation in Karimganj and successfully detained the three suspects. They were subsequently brought back under tight security.
