Agartala, Tripura: The state government’s commitment to expanding the tea industry in Tripura was underscored by Mayor Deepak Majumdar during the Run for Tea Open Cross Country Run-2024. This collaborative event, organized jointly by the Tripura Tea Development Corporation and the Tea Board of India, witnessed enthusiastic participation from both genders.

A total of 45 women and 90 men took part in the race, with a 3 km open cross country race designated for women and a 5 km race for men. The event garnered attention from dignitaries, including Samir Ghosh, Chairman of the Tea Development Corporation, and Santosh Saha, former Chairman.

In a fitting conclusion, Deepak Majumdar honored the top performers by awarding prizes to the top 10 men and top 10 women. The event served as a testament to the collective efforts aimed at fostering growth in the tea industry.
