Agartala: June 30: In a recent address, Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the crucial role of engineers in addressing fundamental challenges faced by citizens. Speaking at the voluntary blood donation camp and felicitation ceremony for Kriti students organized by the Tripura State Engineers Association, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of engineers in ensuring essential services such as roads, electricity, and drinking water.
Dr. Saha praised the Engineers Association for not only fulfilling their professional duties but also engaging in social programs like blood donation. He urged engineers to actively contribute to solving basic issues that affect people’s daily lives. The Chief Minister noted that inadequate infrastructure, such as poorly maintained roads, can disrupt communities and even lead to voting boycotts. He emphasized that engineers play a pivotal role in addressing these challenges.
Furthermore, Dr. Saha highlighted the state government’s innovative initiatives to provide purified drinking water to citizens. He underscored the need for engineers to work responsibly to implement such projects effectively. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also recognized the importance of engineers’ efficiency in developmental work.
During the event, the Chief Minister discussed the significance of voluntary blood donation and encouraged people from all parts of the state to participate. He also outlined the government’s commitment to improving medical services. Notably, a super specialty hospital has been built at a cost of approximately 190 crores, and efforts are underway to establish a high-quality hospital akin to AIIMS in the state.
