The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has announced that the results of the Secondary and Higher Secondary ‘Save Year’ (Bachar Bachao) examinations will be declared on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 12 noon. The announcement brings relief to thousands of students across the state who have been eagerly awaiting the outcome of these examinations, which offer a second opportunity to continue their academic journey.

According to an official notification issued by the board, the results will be published simultaneously for both the Madhyamik (Secondary) and Higher Secondary ‘Save Year’ examinations. Students will be able to access their results through the channels notified by the board once they are officially released.

TBSE has also directed the heads of all affiliated schools to collect the marksheets and pass certificates of their students from the board’s office on Friday, July 31, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. School authorities have been requested to ensure timely distribution of these documents to students so that there is no delay in admission or other academic formalities.

The ‘Save Year’ examination, popularly known as the ‘Bachar Bachao’ examination, is a special initiative of the Tripura Board aimed at providing students who could not clear the regular board examinations with another chance to qualify without losing an entire academic year. The programme has played a significant role in reducing academic dropout rates and helping students pursue higher education despite earlier setbacks.

Board officials stated that all preparations have been completed for the smooth declaration of results and subsequent distribution of certificates. Necessary arrangements have also been made to facilitate the collection of documents by school representatives in an orderly manner.

Education officials have urged schools to maintain transparency and efficiency during the distribution process and extend necessary assistance to students seeking information regarding their results.

The declaration of the ‘Save Year’ examination results is expected to provide clarity to thousands of students and their families, enabling successful candidates to proceed with admissions to higher classes and continue their education without interruption. The board has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a fair, timely and student-friendly examination and evaluation process across the state.
