Agartala November 19: A student of class VIII attempt suicide by consumed poison after arguments with her father because of mobile phone. The incident occurred in Ward No. 7 area of Par Gram Panchayat of Kadamtala Kalagang. Father Tajuddin is a day laborer by profession.
According to the details of the incident, when Tajuddin went home at the end of the day on Saturday, his daughter Shamima Begum asked her father to give her the mobile phone. But as the father did not give the mobile immediately, Shamima consumed poison inside the house. After a while she lost consciousness and began to stagger. The family members realized the matter and took her to the local hospital. From there, she was brought to North District Hospital in Dharmanagar. There the doctors washed her and started treating her. The student is currently undergoing treatment.
