State government is committed to ensuring the benefits of government schemes and services to the deserving beneficiaries: Chief Minister

Agartala, November 15: The present state government is committed to ensuring the benefits of government schemes and services to the deserving beneficiaries. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this at the Janjati Gaurav Divas celebration at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan today.

On this day, he said in his speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the observance of 15th November as People’s Pride Day from the year 2021 with the aim of conveying the historical and cultural heritage of the people to the next generation. This day is celebrated as the birthday of Birsa Munda, popularly known as ‘Bhagavan’, the heroic leader of the nation in India’s freedom struggle. In addition to honoring the role of the people in the freedom struggle, special importance is laid on improving the socio-economic status of the areas inhabited by the people.

Apart from celebrating the Janjati Gaurav Divas, the Chief Minister also formally launched the Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Good Governance 2.0 campaign developed in the state today.

It may be noted that on the occasion of Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birthday celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the country-wide “Bikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” program from Jharkhand today with mobile campaign vehicle carrying information on government projects. This Sankalp Yatra will circumambulate various districts of the country till January 26, 2024. Agriculture Minister Ratanlal Nath, People’s Welfare Minister Vikas Debbarma, Cooperatives Minister Shuklacharan Noyatia, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan and Secretary People’s Welfare Department LT Darlong were present on the occasion.

In the Chief Minister’s speech, the Bharat Sankalp Yatra and the Good Governance 2.0 campaign, developed to deliver the benefits of government flagship schemes and services to the eligible beneficiaries within a specified time frame, were launched. The present state government is committed to ensuring the benefits of government schemes and services to the deserving beneficiaries. Responding to the Prime Minister’s call of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Biswas and Sabka Prayaas’, through the flagship projects of the Government with the active participation of the Raja and Union Territories, sanitation facilities, essential financial services, LPG connections, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, The government is continuously working in mission mode to achieve the target of providing basic facilities such as reliable health services, clean drinking water, quality education etc.

On this day, he also said that programs are being implemented to ensure public awareness about the available benefits and various opportunities in addition to providing facilities to the underprivileged people of the society. This nationwide campaign is starting from today with the aim of increasing public awareness through the Bharat Sankalp Yatra program developed with the aim of delivering the benefits of various government projects and services.

The chief minister said that the purpose of this campaign is to identify those who have not yet benefited from various government schemes and reach the benefits of those schemes. The campaign also aims to enlist the beneficiaries who have benefited from the projects by sharing their personal experiences and collecting detailed details of the eligible beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister said that the development of Bharat Sankalp Yatra is also starting from today in our state. At the same time, the second phase of good governance campaign is starting from today. Its objective is to deliver various government services to the people.
