Agartala: April 13: The recent discovery of a human skeleton has sent shockwaves through the Gomati district. The incident unfolded when locals spotted the skeletal remains floating in the Gomati River near Chhataria Majhe in Sonabani, falling under the jurisdiction of the Radha Kishorepur Police Station. The eerie find occurred on a Saturday afternoon, just days before the Bengali New Year.

People who had gathered at the Gomati River for an afternoon bath were taken aback when they noticed an unusual object drifting in the water. Upon closer examination, their shock turned to horror as they realized it was a human skeleton. The villagers raised an alarm, their voices echoing in fear, and promptly informed the local authorities.

In response to the alarming discovery, a substantial police contingent swiftly descended upon the scene. Notable figures included Gomati District Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, Additional Superintendent of Police Shafik De, Radha Kishorepur Police Station OC Babul Das, and Mahila Thana OC Alpana Sarkar.
