In a proud moment for Tripura, the Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Viveknagar, has secured a position among the top 25 schools in India, as per the nationwide assessment conducted by the prestigious Education World group. The school has achieved the 23rd rank at the national level, earning an impressive 1,018 points — making it the only institution from the entire North East region to feature on this elite list.
The Education World group is known for its comprehensive countrywide accreditation and evaluation of schools affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, and various State Boards. Their assessment focuses on academic excellence, infrastructure, co-curricular activities, faculty quality, and the overall environment for holistic development.
Governor of Telangana and former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Jishnu Dev Varma, congratulated the school on this outstanding achievement. Taking to social media, he lauded the Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya for bringing glory not only to Tripura but to the entire North East. He highlighted the institution’s consistent dedication to value-based education and its commitment to nurturing disciplined, compassionate, and socially responsible students.
Dev Varma also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the school’s teachers, students, staff members, and the Mission’s revered Swamijis for their tireless service and selfless contribution to the cause of education. He emphasized that the recognition reflects the Ramakrishna Mission’s long-standing ethos of combining spiritual and academic growth — a legacy inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s vision of “man-making education.”
The achievement marks a significant milestone for the institution, reaffirming its reputation as a leading centre of learning in the region and a model for holistic education across the country.
