Agartala, March 24: The Tipra Motha Party on Tuesday officially released its final list of candidates for all 28 seats of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections 2026, setting the stage for a high-stakes political contest in the tribal areas of the state.

The list was issued through an official press release signed by party president B.K. Hrangkhawl and founder Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma. The announcement confirms that the party will contest all seats independently, reaffirming its intent to consolidate its support base across the ADC constituencies.

As per the released list, prominent candidates include Bhaba Ranjan Reang from Damcherra–Jampui (ST), Swapan Kumar Chakma from Machmara, Umashankar Reang from Dasda–Kanchanpur, and Ratish Tripura from Karamchhara (ST). Hangsa Kumar Tripura has been fielded from Chhawmanu (ST), while Hollywood Chakma will contest from Manu–Chailengta.

In key constituencies, the party has nominated Dhirendra Debbarma from Demchhara–Kachuchharra (ST), Khotrojay Reang from Ganganagar–Gandachharra (ST), and Prasmit Debbarma from Halahali–Asharambari (ST). Rajeshwar Debbarma will contest from Kulai–Champahour (ST), while Utpal Debbarma has been fielded from Maharani–Teliamura (ST).

Other notable candidates include James Debbarma from Ramchandra Ghat (ST), Rabindra Debbarma from Simna–Tamakari (ST), and Runei Debbarma from Bodhjungnagar–Wakkinagar (ST). The party has also fielded Jagadish Debbarma from Jirania (ST) and Jiten Debbarma from Mandainagar–Pulinpur (ST).

In the southern and central belt, Gita Debbarma will contest from Pekuarjala–Jammejaynagar (ST), Suraj Debbarma from Takarjala–Jampuijala (ST), and Buddha Kumar Debbarma from Amtali–Golaghati (ST). Purna Chandra Jamatia and C.K. Jamatia have been nominated from Killa–Bagma (ST) and Maharani–Chellagang (ST), respectively.

Significantly, Kamal Kalai has been fielded from Ampinagar (ST), while Dhananjy Tripura has been nominated from the politically sensitive Raima Valley (ST) seat. The latter’s candidature had already sparked internal dissent among a section of party workers earlier.

The remaining candidates include Sujoy Uchoi from Natunbazar–Malbasa (ST), Kenaram Reang from Birchandranagar–Kalashi (ST), Debojit Tripura from Purba Maharani–Buralati (ST), and Manindra Tripura from Silachari–Manubankul (ST).

With the announcement of its full candidate list, Tipra Motha has formally entered the electoral fray, aiming to retain and expand its influence in the ADC. The elections, scheduled next month, are expected to witness intense competition among major political players in Tripura’s tribal regions.
