Agartala: Feb 16: Ram Thakur Sangha, one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in the capital, celebrated its 59th foundation day on February 16. On this occasion, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized. MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Deepak Majumder, MLA Gopal Chandra Roy, and others were present at the event.
MP Rajib Bhattacharjee inaugurated the blood donation camp and spoke to the media, highlighting the foundation anniversary of Ram Thakur Sangha. He praised the club authorities for organizing various programs, including the blood donation camp and a sit-and-draw competition, describing them as highly commendable. He noted that while clubs previously competed to showcase their power, they are now competing to organize social programs, which he encouraged.
After the inauguration, MP Bhattacharjee visited the blood donation camp, interacted with the blood donors, and called for the continuation of such initiatives. The event saw a noticeable presence of blood donors.
