According to reports, the victim fell prey to a vicious attack by a group of men, including Nalinikanta Singh, a resident of Gobindapur Gram Panchayat. The severity of her injuries necessitated immediate hospitalization.

While Nalinikanta Singh has been apprehended, the remaining suspects remain at large. The protesters fervently demanded the swift arrest of these individuals and their subsequent trial.

The recent incident in Gobindapur Gram Panchayat serves as a stark reminder of the perils faced by women in North Tripura.

The government’s responsibility to ensure the safety and security of women in the region cannot be overstated. Urgent measures must be taken to bring the perpetrators of violence to justice and prevent such incidents from recurring.
