Agartala: Nov 16: On Saturday, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath officially launched the National Efficiency Cooking Program at the Pragya Bhavan in the capital. During the event, the Minister announced that initially, electric stoves would be provided at 1,000 Anganwadi centers. He also mentioned that efforts would be made to provide electricity to Anganwadi centers that are currently not connected to the power grid, ensuring that they can benefit from this new initiative.

The Minister highlighted that electric stoves have a long financial life, cook food quickly, and are more efficient. He explained that this is why the government is promoting this program. Nath also pointed out that India is a global leader, and citizens now enjoy benefits like 81 crore people receiving free rice. He emphasized the government’s focus on improving the economy and reducing the cost of living.

In addition, he informed the public about the PM Surya Ghar scheme, which allows individuals to generate income by setting up solar power systems at home. Minister Nath concluded by encouraging everyone to adopt solar energy as a sustainable future solution. At the end of the event, the Minister distributed electric stoves to Anganwadi workers.
