Agartala: May 20: Acting on a tip-off, West Thana police conducted a raid at a house in Krishnanagar, leading to the discovery of 36 kg of dry cannabis. The rented room, belonging to Amit Debbarma and located at the residence of Sumit Debbarma, was the site of the seizure. Amit Debbarma has been arrested in connection with the case, and a legal proceeding under the NDPS Act has been initiated against him. He is scheduled to appear in court today on police remand. The estimated market value of the seized cannabis exceeds Rs 1.5 lakh.
