Agartala : July 26: Based on confidential information, the Government Railway Police (GRP) apprehended two Indian touts at Agartala railway station. GRP Station Officer Tapas Das revealed that the individuals, Biplab Karmakar and Bishal Dutta, will be produced in court today for police remand.

Despite the vigilance of the Border Security Force (BSF), infiltration into Tripura persists. The presence of a broker syndicate complicates efforts to curb illegal entry. This syndicate actively aids Bangladeshi nationals in their daily infiltration. In response, the GRP, Railway Protection Force (RPF), and the Intelligence Department of the Border Security Force conducted a targeted raid at Agartala railway station yesterday evening. The arrested touts have a history of assisting Bangladeshis in infiltrating India.
