Agaartala: Mar 02: Finally, the Churaibari police in Tripura have arrested another active member involved in the robbery incident, which occurred while the perpetrators were wearing army uniforms. This arrest has brought some relief to the local residents, as the police are now able to apprehend the members of the notorious gang that had been creating fear across the district.

The terrifying robbery took place on the night of February 22 in the village of Govindpur, under Churaibari police station in North Tripura. The gang, dressed in military uniforms and armed with guns, entered a house and committed the robbery.

Following the incident, the police began their investigation and managed to arrest two primary suspects—Kabil Hossain (28) and Zamir Uddin (42)—both of whom are from the South Kadamtala village panchayat under Kadamtala police station. The police filed a case against them and took them into custody for questioning.

Based on the information gathered during their interrogation, the police arrested another active member, Bilal Uddin, alias Helal (34), who also hails from the same region. His arrest further strengthened the case, and authorities discovered several items linked to the robbery, including army uniforms worn by TSR jawans, two spades, a machete, and a knife from a jungle area in Govindpur.

The police stated that while some key items related to the crime have been recovered, such as the uniforms and weapons used, no stolen goods have been found so far. Additionally, the two guns used in the robbery remain missing.

The police investigation is ongoing, and it is believed that more individuals were involved in the crime. However, their identities are being kept confidential for investigative purposes. Bilal Uddin will be further questioned in police custody as the probe continues.
