Agartala: Feb 20: On Thursday, Dr. Archana Majumdar, a member of the National Commission for Women, held a press conference at the State Guest House. The conference primarily focused on issues related to the abuse of children in the state, various central and state government schemes, and the overall infrastructure aimed at improving the welfare of women and children.
Dr. Majumdar discussed how the implementation of these schemes could be improved, highlighting the existing challenges and identifying areas that need more attention. She acknowledged the contributions of the Prime Minister in launching various initiatives for mothers and women, thanking him for these schemes that have benefited many across the country.
The conversation also touched upon the role of the Tripura State Women’s Commission and its current impact on addressing women’s issues within the state.
