Agartala: Jan 06: MP from East Tripura assembly constituency Rebati Tripura on Saturday visit Kumardhan Para, a very remote area of Dhalai district, and inquire about the roads and constructions there. MP Rebati Tripura had started his campaign ahead of the Lok Sabha elections
He said that the state and the central government had been working in close coordination to make drinking water accessible in all households irrespective of its geographical location and remoteness. The location of the old tribal settlement is also called “Hapong Raja”, a Kokborok term which literally translates to the king of the hills or tallest of the hills. Rebati Tripura distributed blankets among the villagers and inspected the condition of life in those areas on ground.
Expressing his satisfaction over the improvements that had happened after BJP came to power in the state, Rebati said that the biggest demand of the villagers had been addressed as the new road that will connect the village with the highway is being constructed. The construction has progressed satisfactorily and I hope in a very short period of time the road will be completed.
On drinking water, he said, “The deep tube wells are being installed in the hilly areas as well. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission project, more than 70 percent villages have a hundred percent tap water connection. This is the change that has arrived after 70 years of independence. The villagers have apprehensions that all their houses will not be covered under the project but I have reassured that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and CM Dr Manik Saha not a single person will have to worry for his needs. If required, more machinery will be installed to ensure water for all”.
