Agartala: Mar 12: In the Lok Sabha today, MP Biplab Kumar Deb highlighted the advantages of the auction system for mineral resources, emphasizing its potential to bring financial benefits and employment opportunities to states. He directed his remarks to Union Minister for Mines, G. Kishan Reddy.
Responding to the discussion, Union Minister Reddy stated that significant reforms in the mineral resource sector have been implemented since the BJP government assumed office at the center. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing the auction system, which, according to him, has financially benefited every state in the country. The revenue generated through this system is reportedly allocated across various sectors, including private enterprises and state governments. Minister Reddy further claimed that the auction system has contributed ₹6 lakh crore in revenue for states since its inception.
