Sabroom: 12 days after the death of his wife, a 24-year old man was arrested for molesting a minor girl today. The incident took place somewhere under the jurisdiction of Sbroom police station. According to police, the 13 years old minor girl went out of her house in the afternoon to play with her friends. As the evening darkness plunged the whole area and she was still not returning home, the anxious family members started searching for her in the area. In the meantime, some of the locals informed them that she was last seen with a local youth identified as Biplab Baishnab. All the villagers reached his house to see that he had locked himself in his room and loud music was playing inside. When repeated calls from the villagers failed to draw any response from the inside, they broke open the door to see the accused in his bed. No sooner had he seen the villagers standing at his doors, he fled from the scene through the window. Soon a police complaint was filed with the local police station against him. Within hours he had been detained but the minor girl could not be traced last night. Finally, on today morning, she was found at a place close to the house of the accused person. Sources said, the accused is an immediate neighbor of the minor’s friends where she used to visit everyday for playing.
