Agartala March 21: On Tuesday, a meeting was held in the conference hall of the West District Governor’s office regarding the state-based 48th Biju Mela. Minister Santvana Chakma, MLA Shambhu Lal Chakma, Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta and leaders of various Chakma organizations were present in the meeting. After the meeting on this day, Minister Santana Chakma said that this meeting was organized with the aim of conducting the Biju festival properly.

Biju festival will be held on April 13, 14 and 15. The tradition and culture of the Chakma community is included in the Biju festival. He also said that a letter has been sent to the Chief Minister saying that it would be great if a traditional festival could be held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan. People from different states of the country including Bangladesh will participate in the biju festival. The minister said that the entrepreneurs are sincere in giving a historical form to Biju festival. Administrative officers were also present in the meeting.
