Major General Inderjit Singh Bhinder, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East), paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Tripura, Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, at Raj Bhavan (Lok Bhavan) in Agartala this evening. The meeting was marked by warm exchanges and constructive discussions on matters concerning security, development, and continued cooperation between the civil administration and the Assam Rifles in the region.

During the interaction, Major General Bhinder briefed the Governor on the prevailing security situation in Tripura and other areas under the jurisdiction of Assam Rifles (East). He highlighted the force’s ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability, strengthen border security, and support local authorities in ensuring a safe environment for citizens. The Inspector General also emphasized the Assam Rifles’ commitment to fostering goodwill and trust among local communities through various civic action and outreach initiatives.

Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu lauded the professionalism and dedication of the Assam Rifles in safeguarding the nation’s frontiers and maintaining internal security in the Northeast. He acknowledged the crucial role played by the force in promoting peace and contributing to socio-economic development through humanitarian assistance and community engagement programmes.

The Governor and the Inspector General also discussed the importance of close coordination between security forces and the state administration to address emerging challenges effectively. Both reiterated their shared commitment to upholding peace, ensuring public safety, and supporting development initiatives across the state.

The courtesy call concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the strong bond between the Assam Rifles and the Government of Tripura, and underscoring their collective resolve to work together in the larger interest of the people of the region.
