Agartala: Feb 08: BJP is worried about the manifesto of the Left Front. Staff leader Santosh Saha held a press conference at the state BJP election office on Wednesday and attacked the strong language of the Left Front manifesto. He said that the main opposition parties in the state, Left Front and Congress are trying to mislead the workers in various ways. A large part of the state consists of government employees. They have a long history. They were excluded from the Central Pay Scale. In the context of this struggle, the government of Chief Minister Sukhmoy Sengupta subsequently fell. The only demand was for payment of salary and allowances at the central rate. The Left Front was in power in the state for 35 years after the government was formed under the leadership of Nirpen Chakraborty in 1978. This Left regime has not kept its promises. Day after day the employees suffered deprivation. After the BJP government was formed in 2018, it has kept the promise of paying salary allowances to the employees at the central rate. Employees are supporting this government with their hands full. Currently there is an alliance between the Left Congress. They published the election manifesto. He said that government employees are being misled through this manifesto. New pension scheme was introduced in 2004. Congress was then in government. And the left supported him. The new pension scheme is in operation. However, employee leader Santosh Saha said that the CPM is lying in the state. He said that 260,000 working and retired employees in the state are getting benefits during the tenure of the BJP government. He urged not to step in in an attempt to mislead. BJP spokesperson Asmita Banik, labor leader Samar Roy were present at the press conference.
