Agartala: July 31: Left women activists under the banner of All India Democratic Women’s Association stages protest at Sadar Divisional Committee demand for step down of Manipur Chief Minister.

They tied black ribbon on their mouth to protest against the inhuman assault and torture on Kuki women in Manipur. During the protest central committee member AIDWA Rama Das said, the videos that stormed the social media where a group of men paraded two women naked on the streets and later gang raped them are inhuman but the Prime Minister is silence over the issue. They demanded immediate step down of Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, they also demanded proper investigation and appropriate punishment of those involved in women related crimes and rehabilitation of common people who got homeless during the violence in Manipur.
