Agartala January 4: The CITU-affiliated All India Road Transport Workers’ Federation organized a protest march in Agartala on Thursday, demanding the immediate withdrawal of the BJP-led central government’s inhumane bill on transport workers. The protest march started in front of the CITU office in the capital.

The procession passed through different routes of Agartala city and ended at Nagerjala area. There is a road meeting. Leader of the organization Amal Chakraborty and others were present in the road meeting. Amal Chakraborty said the whole country is in turmoil. The BJP government in a completely undemocratic manner expelled the MPs from the parliament and passed the bill called the New Justice Code. This is a completely monstrous decision. This is an inhumane decision for transport workers. As a result of this act, the livelihood of transport workers has been cut off. Transport workers have already started taking to the streets to demand the withdrawal of this law. And the entire country has gone into an uproar against this decision of the government. He said that today’s program is to demand the immediate withdrawal of this decision and the immediate withdrawal of the dictatorial policy of the afternoon. More demands have been raised from this program to ensure the safety of motorists. Otherwise, a larger movement will be formed in the coming days.
